For WoodWood’s FW23 show we were invited to design a space of surprises, evolving from runway, to performance, to club in just 10 minutes.
Using only recycled materials and smoke at varying densities, we designed a room within a room that evolved from runway, to stage, to club in just 10 minutes.
The audience entered a dark gallery with a stark smoke-filled box filled as a backdrop for the runway presentation.
Mid-show, the audience becomes aware of a dancer inside through glimpses of a silhouette and the box becomes a stage for dancer William Darby to channel the frenetic energy of the collection.
As the show finished, the smoke cleared to reveal a club inside, and the audience was invited to join the afterparty.
